Not a Fluid Mind Any Longer

No, that is not a comment on my intellectual capacity, nor is a predated april’s fool joke. It is more of a statement reflecting today’s decision to terminate my fluidminds membership, effective 30th April 2005.

This is a friendly “divorce” and no hard feeling on either side. I have been a member for more than five years and feel that the timing is right to change my business ecosystem somewhat. This means that I will still focus on two things:

- Facilitation of strategy- and organizational development
- Management-for-hire-services

I will do this with my company Tusculum Consulting AB as the legal entity and under the brand name of Alarik. So it is all back to Me Inc. again! No doubt I will not champion alone. Plans are still in the works as to with whom, where and when I will collaborate, Options are abundant. I will keep you posted right here at www.alarik.com.

Fluidminds have also changed a lot the last few months. The focus has narrowed down quite a bit and is now exclusively centered round a concept called Service Innovation. In my mind fluidminds is turning into something that more resembles a research & development entity. Mark my word, this is not necessarily the wrong move. But it is not a move which have me all fired up. So we are all better off splitting up for the time being. And who knows? In this network economy chances that our roads cross again are higher than the other way around.

Being a member of fluidminds for five years has been a most gratifying experience. I dare say I have developed a whole new skill set, adding facilitation, process management and more to my previous somewhat IIT marketing/leading edge. That is an experience that I plan to leverage.
