Summer is here again!

We are getting to the high season for boating in the

Baltic region and I am looking forward to a loooong summer vacation with lot's of balmy days, sun, sun, sun, warm water and a wonderful time to be out boating.

It it is also going to to be the season when Web Commander celebrate her 42nd  season. Anyway, according to her Hull Card she was shipped from Chris Craft's Holland plant 11th of August 1966.

Now, 42 years later she is in as good shape as ever, marked, if nothing else, that everything has been working properly and no problems whatsoever. Touch wood!

This will also be Web Commander's 9th season since the major restoration that was completed in 1999.

Big River Rendezvous on the Mississippi

I attended Chris Craft Commander Club's annual Rendezvous in USA in 2006. It is so much fun and you meet so many old friends and some new ones too. Check out my photo albums from the events. They are available at the Commander Club website. Enjoy!

Double Meanings

The Chris Craft Commander Club is probably one of Internet's longest lasting and most active online boating communities. Recently, I was asked to join the Executive Committee of the Club and to assume the role of webmaster.

Now that's a challenge! Firstly, it is all about keeping the activity going. Secondly the first assignment was to completely redesign the site and to introduce new sections, new content and an new Dock shop for Club merchandise.

Well after much hard work the new site is now live and kicking. Check it out at:

So here I am, the webmaster of a Commander Club. How fitting that I have a boat named Web Commander. Suddenly it is both a boat name and a title.

The tough question now is what happens when I resign? Will the boat name go with the title?!
